PRIVACY POLICY OF IBKALYANAM

IBKalyanam is a digital matrimony initiative established by the IDAM Braahmam Society, a charitable organization registered under the Societies Registration Act. The Platform comprises two interlinked portals:

ibkalyanam.in – Exclusively for the registration of brides and grooms; and
-
services.ibkalyanam.in – Exclusively for the listing of wedding-related service providers, including astrologers, purohits, decorators, caterers, photographers, and others.
Both portals are collectively referred to as “the Platform.” These platforms, though functionally distinct, are interlinked to facilitate coordinated matrimonial services for the Brahmin community across India and abroad.
This Privacy Policy shall govern the use of all personal and sensitive information collected and processed by the Platform. By registering, accessing, or interacting with the Platform, all users—whether as prospective brides/grooms, family representatives, service providers, or reviewers—acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth herein.
The IDAM Braahmam Society is the Owner and Operator of the Platform. The Platform is developed and maintained by M/s Jagadishwar Technology Solutions Private Limited. Together, the IDAM Braahmam Society and Jagadishwar Technology Solutions Pvt. Ltd. shall hereinafter be referred to as “the Organizers.”
1. Collection and Declaration of Member Information
1.1. All members registering on the Platform are required to furnish true, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at the time of registration. The Organizers reserve the right to verify the authenticity of the data provided. Any misrepresentation may result in suspension or termination of access to the Platform. 1.2. If the registrant is not the prospective bride or groom themselves, their relationship to the applicant must be clearly declared during registration.
1.3. Members have the option to upload photographs. All uploaded photographs shall be recent and should not misrepresent the registrant’s current appearance.
2. Use and Responsibilities of Registered Members
2.1. Registered members shall not misuse, reproduce, or share the personal data, photographs, or contact details of other members listed on the Platform.
2.2. Members agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all information accessed through their login credentials and shall not disclose such information to unauthorized third parties.
2.3. No member shall use the Platform for purposes other than matrimonial matchmaking within the Brahmin community. All other uses shall constitute a violation of this Policy.
3. Data Privacy Commitments by the Organizers
3.1. The Organizers undertake to safeguard and protect all information submitted by members on the Platform, including their username, passwords, photographs, identity documents, and contact details.
3.2. No data or member information shall be shared with any third-party websites, applications, or businesses, including other matrimonial platforms, except in the following circumstances:

As expressly permitted by this Policy;

As required for the purpose of member matching and interaction within the Platform;

As necessary to comply with directions from governmental, judicial, or law enforcement authorities under applicable laws;

As may be required to be disclosed to the Platform’s authorized software vendors, developers, or technical support teams strictly for the purpose of system maintenance, debugging, or troubleshooting technical issues, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
3.3 Service provider listings on services.ibkalyanam.in are publicly accessible and do not carry any confidentiality obligation.
3.4. The Organizers reserve the right to monitor platform activity and usage patterns for security and fraud prevention. This includes collection of:

Device identifiers,

IP addresses,

Session history,
-
Geolocation data,

Cookies and similar technologies.
3.5. The Organizers may disclose user information to government authorities or law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to departments responsible for cybercrime, fraud prevention, or lawful interception, in accordance with applicable Indian laws including the Right to Information Act.
4. Duration of Data Retention
4.1. Member and service provider data will be retained on the Platform for the duration of the valid paid membership period. Data will be permanently deleted from the Platform in the following situations: upon expiry of membership without renewal, deletion of the account by the member, or deletion of the account by the Organizers at their own discretion or upon request by the member. The Organizers are under no obligation to restore any account or profile once it has been deleted from the Platform.
5. Platform Limitations and Member Responsibility
5.1. Members who proceed with engagement or marriage with any other registered member on the Platform are solely responsible for verifying the authenticity of the information provided by the other party. Each registered member is expected to conduct their own inquiries. The Organizers are not responsible for any false or misleading information furnished by members or service providers.
5.2. Registering members are required to provide their Aadhaar number or any other valid ID proof to the other member with whom they are finalizing an alliance or service, to establish their bona fides. Service providers must upload their valid licenses and authorization certificates, if applicable. Members and service providers must verify these documents independently. The Organizers are not responsible for failure to verify or dissatisfaction with provided details. Members who become aware of any false or misleading information are requested to report the same to customer support immediately.
6. Updates and Modifications to the Privacy Policy
6.1. The Organizers may, from time to time, update or revise this Privacy Policy in response to legal, technical, or business developments. Updated policies will be published on the Platform and shall take immediate effect unless stated otherwise.
6.2. Continued use of the Platform following any modification to this Privacy Policy shall constitute acceptance of the updated terms.
7. Grievance Redressal Mechanism
7.1. The Grievance Officer under this Privacy Policy shall be the Manager of the IDAM Braahmam Society, available at the following address during working hours (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays):

8. Jurisdiction
8.1. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
